    My First & Second Hand Guns!

    Last night, I went to my Local Gun Shop and purchased my first (Ruger Sr22) and second (SR9c) handguns; now I just have to wait until after 7:05CDT Friday to actually take possession of them (gotta love Illinois... NOT!).

    I feel like a kid just before Christmas, I know what’s under the tree, but I can’t get it for a couple more days and the anticipation is killing me !!

    I know I need to clean them both thoroughly to remove the heavy grease & lubricants used at the factory, but since my LGS also has a range, am I risking damaging the guns if I put a few rounds thru each before I come home Friday night to strip them & clean them ???

    Pick up a gun cleaning kit and they will likely allow you to clean and lube them right at the store, if they are instructive they might even help......JJ

    Congrats on the 2 great guns! I'm sure you'll love them. I have the SR9c and I love it very much.
