    a few questions about purchasing

    hey people great forum I've used as a reference quite a few times in the last two weeks.
    now on to my questions, I have no criminal record at all not a speeding ticket or parking ticket nothing at all. I purchased a brand new Taurus pt111 mil pro last Friday but due to renton pd being back up with finger prints i cant get in for my cpl til the 26th of this month so my question is am i still gonna have to wait the 5 days to go pick up my gun or should the background check be back by now? i got my gun at discount gun sales in tukwilla if that helps at all.

    I'm not sure that I completely understand your question, but here's the answer to what I believe you're asking:

    Once you have your carry permit, you will be absolved the waiting period.
    Until the permit is in your hot, sweaty hand, you still gotta do the wait.

    my bad i live in Washington and the guy at the gun store said the wait wasn't mandatory just the allotted time give to the leo's for a background check he said if i had no record they would probably get back to him before them i guess my question is has anyone gotten theirs before the wait is up without a cpl here or is that guy just making my wait harder

    Well, now you're beyond my experience. I never bought a pistol in Washington before I had my carry permit, so I don't know the answer.
