Your local court house or police precinct would probably be a good place to go to check.
Does anyone know if plinking on state land is legal in Michigan? For some time now, I've been setting up my targets and shooting away. The area I use seems very safe - small hill for a backstop, and very secluded so people are not around. Everything I take in leaves with me except, of course, the lead. Am I asking for trouble?
Thank You

Yes you can plink on state land, but most of the state land has designated times of the year shooting is allowed. And when doing so, you must have a small game license. Don't ask me why, because I didn't when I was informed. I would still recommend contacting the DNR just for self assurance.
