    Where do you shoot?

I'm lucky enough to be able to walk into my back yard and shoot anytime I want. This time of year though that is a little more daunting than it is say on a sunny may afternoon! Are there any indoor ranges within 25 miles of the Lakes Region area?

Maine has suffered from urban sprawl through the years and I can no longer go behind
my house because I now have house that are too close ! Maine you can't discharge a firearm within 300 feet of a house. When I have varmints come around the house I've resorted to using a pump up bb gun it's effective some of the time as long as you are close.

Anyway I joined a local rifle and pistol club that's only a couple of miles from my house. I
live around many gravel pits and all you hear every day is gun shots so it a nice thing to hear as I am use to it.I must admit the shooting has dropped dramatically since considerable rise in ammunition prices in the last few months.

Hey stetson, nice to see some activity here. As I understand it, you can shoot closer than 300' if you have permission. Might want to discuss this with your neighbors and a sixpack!

Is it always this quiet here?

I've got a pretty good range set up here at home. One of the benefits of living out where I do. Sure I drive further to get to Walmart but I have few guns, lots of ammo, and when the notion strikes me I walk out back and start making noise.

I'm going to be building some new things to hang targets on as well as getting some steel targets made for me. I need them for 22 and larger pistol too. Rifle I have stuff set up at 100 and 150 yards

The weather is not friendly right now but I still get out there and squeeze off a few rounds a couple/few times a week. I'm an addict. There is no denial. I got the 9mm pneumonia and the 45 ACP blues

I am also fortunate to have a large enough lot for shooting in my yard. Wouldn't have it any other way. Of course, on days like these, the snow dictates when you can shoot (if you want to retrieve your brass)!

Living in Southern Maine, I can't go out in the back yard and shoot, but I am a few miles to a great Gun Club, Scarborough Rod and Gun Club. You can shoot small guns, shotguns and rifles on a private or competitive basis.
