    P3AT assembly pin

    I just got the gun at a gun show and I dont believe its ever been apart. What leads me to believe this is the only marks around the pin are from me. I cant figure out how to get it apart. This is a second Gen. I wanted to give it a good cleaning before I give it a good shootin! Please help!

    sorry, but i'm not educated on the keltec disassembly. it looks like it is pretty straight forward though. sorry to ask, but are you sure you are working on the disassembly pin and not the trigger mechanism pin? perhaps try relieving some pressure on the pin by holding the slide partially retracted before removing the da pin.

    I have the manual...so I thought it would be easy...I am doing what it is showing me to do...just not what it wants me to do...

    Are you pushing the slide towards the rear a bit while pulling the pin out? If you're not doing that, you're not gonna get anywhere. After the pin is out, it's a straight forward disassembly.

    Just like Todd said. Push back on the slide just a little. I use an old alum .45 case to slide under the pin and it will pop right out. Good luck.
