How to find out which ammunition your gun likes best:
Buy as many different kinds as you can afford, and shoot them all. Take notes.
Review your notes and refine your choices.
Buy more ammunition, according to your refined criteria.
Shoot the ammunition, taking notes all the while.
Rinse.
Repeat.
How to reload accurate ammunition for your gun:
Buy as many different reloading manuals as you can afford.
Read the general instructions in all of them.
Review the reloading data for your kind of ammunition in all of them.
Sit back and do some thinking, referencing the reloading information: What do you want to accomplish with your reloads?
Load-up a bunch of once-fired cases, in lots of, say, 20 each, varying only the powder charge in each lot, according to the reloading data in the manuals.
Shoot those reloads, taking careful notes.
Review your notes and refine your choices.
Make more ammunition, according to your refined criteria.
Shoot the ammunition, taking notes all the while.
Rinse.
Repeat.
Oh, by the way, how do you know that "this gun ROCKS!!!" when you've put only a very few, ultra-cheap rounds through it?
Well, one nice thing about that Kel Tec is that it is 5.56 NATO chambered. Check out some of the .223 Remington loads, lots of premium stuff out there in that loading.
