Good report, 380 or 32?
NEW REPORT I went and installed the 13lb wolff spring. It made a difference in recoil. Brought to a level of comfort . I was shooting S&B ball same as before.
Shooting improved also. Same range as before approx 21'. I was shooting one handed facing target square on .Looking over slide as you can't see sights. (i haven't painted front sight)
Target was a 8" Birchwood Casy The ones that show inpact. 6 shots S&B ball
2x10 1x9 1x8 2x7 the 9,8,7, were all in a group at 3 :30 to 4 That's me and small grip. Those 4 rounds in a measured 3" group 2in 10 were touching
For kicks and since I have several boxes of DPX coming I fired 3 90gr Corbon.
Recoil was more but still not as bad as stock. At least to me.
Pistol like me likes Corbon 1 x10 1x9 1x8 The 8and 9 were touching on line in 1o'clock angle and 10 was like flyer. Group Measured 1 1/2" I have always found Corbon to be very accurate. People Guess what in my P3AT till the DPX comes. I know I haven't shot 2 zillion rounds but I haven't made a carry yet.
Drawback to 13lb spring. Some people may find hard to pull slide to rear to chamber a round. Their 4 more pounds to overcome and can be a little hard first couple times.
So with a change of springs and a whole 9 shots I closed group a lot. The pistol stays on target much better with the 13lb spring. I think this would be a good investment I also had a more even ejection of spent cases. Before threw all over now more settled.
Maybe I should paint front sight so I can see a spot of orange like my P-32's
Good report, 380 or 32?
This is the P3AT the 380. I have 2 P-32's and their easy to shoot and trouble free . At present one still my carry pistol as this one hasn't been fired enough. Yet. I'm waitinh on my DPX to show up. Then we shall see.
Thanks for the reply, you almost have me convinced to buy one.
Well I can't say if you buy yours will be perfect. I can say this I belived all the internet bashing for a long time. But I also would handel the pistols at the gun shop. Maybe is was wishfull thinking but I belived I saw the QC improve in 2nd gen over first.
So really against my better judgement I bought 1. A P-32. By end of first 50 rounds I was hooked went back next day and got #2 for wife..
The KT is not in the class of a Seecamp as far as fit and finish. Their to different pistols.
Larrys pistol is a fine made watch But its a blowback and has a might bit of recoil.
The KT is a Timex not much in looks but will get the job done at a reasonable price. Both will fix you pistol if needed and both carry in pocket.
I have went from a basher to a fan Keep clean.oiled and I belive they will be 99% trouble free nothing in this world is perfect.. Larry Seecamp in 380 is around $800+tax and up to a 2 year wait. My blue KT in 380 was $229+tax. A lot of difference and both do same job. I am not knocking Seecamp as I will have one in my Collection. Now to futher muddy up the water I would take a KT over any of the NAA Guardian Series. They are as heavy as some J frame S&W's and have a 15+lb trigger and QC has been less the perfect. Just my 02
