What do you guys think about the Kel-Tec P32?
Decent little gun.....but for the money, and size.......I would go with the P3AT or the Ruger LCP. Yeah, before anyone jumps in.....yes the P3AT has more recoil, but the guns are the same size, equally concealable. Better stopping power from the P3AT without a doubt.
Just my $.02
I carry a Ruger LCP everyday, and I am completely confident in its ability to get the job done.
Look at the .32acp sticky just above this post at the top of the Kel-Tec section for a balistic test.
do you like your LCP over a P3AT?
so you think the added ammo cost and the added cost of the LCP or P3AT over the P32 is worth it?
I absolutely prefer my LCP over the P3AT. Not that the Kel-Tec is bad....I like the fit and finish of the LCP better. Much more comfortable. It has the slide lock that the Kel-Tec does not. The finish is far superior. Just a much more refined version.
As to the ammo question. None of these weapons will ever be a range gun. Just pony up the money to get 300-500 rounds through the gun. Put some premium ammo through it too......then it should be ready to carry. Just shoot every so often to make sure you stay comfortable and proficient with the weapon. But to answer your question....yes the extra money on ammo and for the gun is worth it to get the P3AT or the LCP. It is a better round for personal defense...packed into the same size gun. Absolutely, the LCP gets my vote...then the P3AT. You will not regret it, trust me!!!
Did you take a look at that balistc test?
I love my p32 but the 32 acp cartridge is not that great. Better to go with .380.
Love mine. I use Buffalo Bore's +p loading for my carry ammo, and have a 1 round extension on the mags for a better grip, so I've got all the "oomph" of the .380 and two more shots.
The .380 obviously is more powerful - and it also pushes the stamina of a pistol as small as a P3AT or the LCP (Little Copied Pistol) - guide rod hole peening, cracked frames, etc. Not very fun to shoot, either.
The P32 is just a "get off me" gun - not dissing it, I carry one daily as a bug.
I had a P-32 and miss it all the time. I did question the 32 size round a little bit but I also think of how many people have been killed with a 22. I bought the 32 because 380 ammo appeared to be scarce and the 32 has a 10rd magazine that fits the gun great making it very easy to hang on to as well as still conceal great. I also state the buffalo bore +P ammo is a must. I also recommend some break in time and good pratice.
i haven't heard of any problem with the 32 compared to the 380
It's all about the ammo. SAAMI 32ACP is weak at best. S&B and Fiocchi make full power 7.65BR(32ACP) that puts it right at 380 power. A 60 grain hollowpoint made by Fiocchi hits 1200fps. Yes it will jump and bark some more than when you shoot domestic ammo in it, but you get more ammo on board along with it....
i just bought a p32 for $179.
couldn't pass it up
i use to own an LCP but sold it - my friend and i had sore hands at the range with going thru 100 rounds
i think this will enable quicker second shot placement
also going to get the Fiocchi ammo for SD
now to get that CCW class and the permit
I never think about the P32..............My opinion is and it should be noted that this is just my opinion and is no way a recomendation or condemnation of any gun, caliber , or brand. Unless you are set on the 32 round for some reason, save your money and get a better weapon. If buying a gun for next to nothing is your goal, save your money get a better weapon. If you already bought it.....enjoy your new gun and be safe!

i am very glad i bought the p32
all my internet research indicates the FMJ will give more penetration for this caliber and
Fiocchi, from italy, is hotter than the domestic FMJ's ammo
the 32 has been very popular in europe for years and years so getting italian ammo isn't a stretch at all for reasonableness
its lighter and slimmer than the 380's and won't be a burden at all carrying it
yea i really love the p32
now i wish i would have bought that 30 round CZ Skorpion i saw at a gun show last year
