Brand New PF-9 Owner!

After shopping and browsing for months I finally bit the bullet (so to speak) and ordered a PF-9 from a private FFL on Gunbroker.com. I think I got a pretty good price ($245) especially after the election. Even with shipping ($20) and a local FFL xfer fee ($20) I am still in pretty good shape (total = $285) versus the one local dealer who actually had 2 PF-9's in stock and was asking $320+tax!

I decided on the PF-9 for daily carry due to my regard for the price and performance of 9mm ammo - now true, I dont intend on putting 300rds down-range every day, but it will be nice to be able to share available ammo with my other guns (currently only a Beretta 92FS, but add the PF-9 and an after Christmas purchase of an S&W M&P Pro 9 and and an after tax return purchase of a Glock 17 and I have the makings of a decent little 9mm collection).

I had a hard time deciding between the PF-9 and the P-11 because I may like to try using my daily carry weapon in IDPA-style events. The P-11 is legal for IDPA, the PF-9 is not, due to capacity. However, the PF-9 won out because I really intend the larger frame guns to be my primary IDPA-style tools.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a holster? Looking for leather, rigid-top, IWB with a clip instead of loops.

i just (well about 12 weeks ago) order one from K&D Holsters, the Cochise Defender. Have read good on them, like the versatility. As to how i like it.. well. I will happily let you know when i get it (i have a P-11 that i love).
I have carried in a Desantis "Inner Piece" That of course is loops.
Kel-tecs sight has links to makers of holsters for their handguns.

Congrats on your PF-9 purchase. I just love mine, and I expect you'll carry yours all day, every day, too.
I tried an Uncle Mike's #1, and thought it was okay. But I made a pocket holster for mine. Square holster with a double cardboard insert (so it doesn't show a "gun" outline) and an offset diagonal pocket to hold the gun. It fits in my front or back pocket equally well. I used a very short nap felt inside and a rough cotton outside. Next time I'll use something more "sticky" for the outside; perhaps leather?
Please check out www.knjmfg.com and see their holsters. I've tried a couple of theirs and thought they were good. But I made my own.

Thanks for the recommendations - I found a company over at the Kel-Tec Owners Group (http://www.ktog.org) called K&D Holsters - they have a custom piece that looks to be exactly what I am looking for. Check out the links below:

Its called the "Custom Belt Defender" - unfortunately the lead time looks awfully long (14-16 weeks!!).

Congrats on your purchase! I will join the club in a couple weeks. I have enough to buy the PF9, but not enough $$ to buty any accesories.

I don't know if you're interested in it or not, but I just ordered myself a laser sight for my PF-9 from Crimson Trace. It's a LG-435 and on the new product special it is only $199. I expect to get it later next week.
