I practice with Winchester White Box and load Speer Gold Dots for carry. My P3AT runs 100% with both.
Now that I have a new P3AT I need your opinions on what to run through it.
What kind of ammo have you guys/gals have had success with?
What should I use at the range?
What should I use for self-defense?

Use FMJ at the range. I purchased ten boxes of PMC (it was on sale) when I got my P3AT, and it works just fine. I would bet that my P3AT will run just fine on any decent FMJ.
Use a good hollow-point round for self-defense. Just about all of the major ammo manufacturers make a good SD load. I use Hornady XTP's in mine, as it functions perfectly and is locally available. Gold Dot, Cor-Bon, Buffalo Bore are all perfectly acceptable, as long as they run 100% in your pistol.
Practice with Win-WB and use Magtec-Gold for carry. Runs fine.![]()
Ditto on Mike's post...
Got both on sale.
