As far as handgun scopes are concerned, "burris' is the only brand i can positively endorse. Nothing more than 2x for your revolver. If you want a red dot scope, "ultra-dot" is the best available. Hope this helps.
Hey all, when I gun hunt white tail, I use a 357 magnum revolver. A smith 686. I've had luck with the stock sites but have decied to mount an optic on it. Eyes aren't what they were 15 years ago. I won't shoot past 50 yards. I'm trying to determine if I should go with a scope, or a holographic red dot. I would like opinions and experiences with both, including brands, pros and cons of each type, etc.....Any advice would be appreciated.
