Hello from Southern California
Yeah I know, the land of fruits and nuts, but I try to ignore them! Bought my first gun, 20GA pump with two barrels since 1965 a month or so ago. My wife and I are getting more and more worried about breakins and home invasions which are becoming more common in the San Diego area. I will be picking up a Sig P226R with dual barrels on Monday and my wife's S&W Detective Special (38 caliber) in a month (private sale through gun shop). That should do I imagine. Lots of target practice coming up. Oh yea, my "oldracer" name comes from the vintage sports car we race 5 or 6 times a year in the south west U.S.
Welcome! Too bad about the California situation right now. Hope they let you keep that new SIG you've got coming.
Let us know how that SIG works for you. You may have bought it for self-protection, but there's lots of fun to be had learning to use it well. Enjoy.
Welcome from a mountian top in N.C. Escape to free America.
Welcome from down in the swamp. Enjoy.
Welcome. I live in Murrieta, but, work in San Diego. We get a lot of the Orange County criminal element here in Murrieta, they see the area as an easy target because most of us moved out of larger polulation cities. You're gonna love that Sig.
Man's got to know his limitations.

A good shotgun backed by a pair of good handguns should get you through just about anything.

Welcome from Texas! A shotgun blast to the upper torso is a good deterent indeed! Always nice to have a backup plan though. It sounds like you will be ready for anything, including the return of the Golden Bear.
