Canadian in NC

Hello All,

I've lived in NC for 2 years and before that NJ for 8 and before that in Ontario, Canada. NC's the place for me and we hope to be trading in our green cards for citizenship before the end of the year, if all goes well.

I've been researching hanguns and whatnot for the past few months. I've been going to a gun range a couple of times a week for the last 6 weeks, starting with .22's and trying almost all of the rental guns. I've been firing about 300-500 rounds a week. I really like the .45's. With a preference for 1911's. I love the history of the gun. And the way it fits.

And a big time lurker here. Lot's of good advice to gleaned with the use of the search button!

So I bought a 1911 today. A Nighthawk Talon. A better gun than I'll probably ever be a shooter. But I'm going to try.

Other hobbies are motorcycles, track days and sailing.
