    Hello from the Final 4

    What busy weekend here in the ATL. And that doesn't include all the driving around I am doing to gun shop.
    I don't own a handgun, yet. I have been to the rang to shoot guns that my friends have. I have shot an H&K USP .45 compact, Walther P99 .40, Ruger revolver .45 cal.
    I am trying to find a range that has a Sprinfield XD .45 compact for rent. No luck so far. Based on price and reviews and customer feedback, that is the gun I am leaning torwards. I really liked the H&K and would like to try a Sig P226 or 229, but they are kind of expensive. Did not like the Walther I shot. The revolver was fun.
    Anyway, I am looking forward to learning and getting input.

    I just got to shoot that gun today. I really liked it. I am now considering purchasing a XD9 instead of the Glock I had originally intended to get. I loved the trigger on the XD, really good soghts as well. The recoil felt just about the same as a 9mm to me. Louder and more gunblast to it, but not really any more recoil. I'm sure you'll like it once you shoot it.
