    I lived in Houma 40 years off of East Park still have a home there my oldest lives in and go to college in Thibodaux......
    I moved 9 years ago and in the last 9 years Houma has grown big time

    I grew up in the same house in Summerfield. Lived there almost 21 years. Our house was the 3rd one there.

    Until my parents moved here from Houma 2 years ago, I used to go back for all the holidays. Got to visit old friends. I missed not going back there this past Christmas. I've seen how it grew.

    I graduated from the college in Thibodaux.

    I know Summerfield well I can remember when it was only a cane field to rabbit hunt and Bayou Black was a swimming hole.

    Yes, I remember all the cane fields, and when that Winn Dixie shopping center was built. It was originally supposed to be built across the street from my house, near the tourist bureau, but they moved it...

    Its strange to see what they did w/ St Charles Street after all this time

    At 1 point, I believe we did. I have been inside of that house 1 or 2 times when I was real young. I don't think my parents stayed in touch w/ them as I got older. As a kid, I also knew the people in the two huge two story houses next to them.

    I worked for Joe Smith from the time i was 17 till i was 25 he was a good boss
