Hey, glad ya joined us. Welcome to the site! Hope ya jump right in on the conversations![]()
Hello all!! Just picked up my S&W Sigma 9mm last night. I am a total newb to handguns but not firearms. I grew up in the UP of Michigan so firearms & hunting was a big part of my lifestyle when I was younger. I got into a nasty bike accident a few years back and lost my right leg above the knee. Since then Hunting and walking through the thick woods was not too easy so I kind of gave it up. I recently went to a local Rod & Gun Club and talked to a few guys that get together and practice tactical stuff. It's pretty cool. I figured what the hell. I have heard good and bad about the Sigma 9mm but the price was way to attractive to pass up. Here is a pic of me and then my new piece.

Welcome from Northwestern Montana. Sorry to hear about your leg. I almost lost mine twenty-one years ago (Shattered my femur- mountain falling). I just had my ankle fused because of that accident. But life goes on- you just walk different.
I had a Sigma years ago. I liked the way it pointed. I sold it when I divorced my wife. It was hers. I kept the Glock 23 which is what I carry.
Welcome to the party!
Sorry about your leg...
Glad to hear about your new pistol!
I am really excited to get shooting again. I had a Tactical S&W .40 A few years back. But never got good at it. I recently sold my 1999 trans am. I was big into Drag and autocross but it was getting to expensive. I just sold it and decided to pick up a new/old hobbie that doesn't cost so damn much Here is a vid of the car at a Lapping Event IN THE RAIN!!!! that was tuff. My buddy was takin the Vid, you will hear he is pretty excited!!

Hey Uno99 welcome from down in the swamp. We done some racing in our day too. We didn't have the christmas tree to go with, we had a flagman when we started. Yep, I was there at the start of it all.
I got a Sigma 40VE myself, and I don't think you will be disapointed in it. Trigger takes a little getting use to, but that's all. Good luck.
Welcome to the forum, glad you're here! New guy buys cigars.![]()
Howdy!!!!
Welcome from the other end of the country. I think you'll enjoy the site.

Glad to hear you are having a good time with it. I like my .40ve well enough, and I use it for one of my house guns all the time. So it is earning it's keep.

Hey there Uno.
I used to live in Wisconsin, about 5 minutes north of West Bend. My old man has a SW9VE, and its a great gun and a better price.
Pretty killer car you got there![]()
A lot of people comment on the heavy triggers on the Sigma. I don't know if there are any smiths out there that can do a trigger job on that gun model. I haven't ever read of any...
Welcome Uno..........and Howdy from Texass.....![]()

There was a big write up over on the Smith web site about modifying the trigger. They had it down to about a 4lbs pull. I think the forum leader took it off.
Nice gun and car. I have an 02 SS.
I live in Beloit WI
