Congrats on your new Sig and welcome from Tyler
Howdy all. I am new to the forums.
I grew up shooting mostly rifles (Pellet, 22) and shotguns (12 gauge). My father-in-law gave me a 29 cal handgun when I married his daughter and we lived in Dallas, TX. After my daughter was born we decided to give it back to him. Recently, my wife and I decided to get another handgun. We tried out several different makes, models and calibers and my wife really likes shooting 9 MM. The 40 cal was a bit too much for her. I really fell in love with a Sig that I was shooting and started doing a lot of research on different guns and their manufacturers. I don't mind paying more for a quality product so price was not really a major factor in my purchasing decision.
I ended up purchasing a Sig Sauer P229 9 MM Scorpion. I really like the way it feels in my hand and I love the safety features on it including the decocking lever. I also really like the Short Reset trigger on my DA/SA trigger. I am thinking of adding a two-tone P239 9 MM as well. Just not sure if that will be before or after I get a 12 gauge shotgun (I am leaning towards a Mossberg 590A1 Blackwater).
Decisions, decisions, decisions...
