Excellent choice you made btw. Sigs are awesome. And. 40 caliber is sweet too
Hello,
I am so glad I found this forum. I am picking up my first firearm this evening, a Sig P239 in .40cal. I have perused this forum for a few weeks now, picking up loads of information for a first-time firearm-owner. I must say, many here know their stuff!
I look forward to conversing with the fine folks here, as well as sharing any knowledge that I might acquire with other first-time buyers.
Take care,
~newman

Welcome from Northeast Ohio. Excellent choice you made in that Sig.
Thanks, I'm excited/anxious/nervous - all around giddy to get it tonight. A Sig wasn't my first choice, but with the recent "shortage" of pistols in my area and my delays in "pulling the trigger" it was just about the only thing left on the shelve. I'm very comfortable with the .40cal - my wife and I spent a couple of boxes through a Glock 23 and an H&K P2000sk (and a few others as well), and we decided we both loved the feel of the 40 versus a 9mm.
But I believe this is only the first of what may be many firearms in our not-so-distant future. Thanks for the welcoming!
It's like eating a Lay's potato chip you have to have more than one.![]()
Hi and welcome....I have owned a Glock 23 and an HK as well, the Sig P239 handles the .40 cartridge better than either of them almost as if it were made for it.....
