New guy currently being held hostage in the frozen tundra if northern IL

Hello everyone! Been looking for a good handgun forum to join and this one seems to fit the bill! I have been doing a lot of research for my next handgun purchase and this forum continually popped up in my google searches.
I am an 18 year Army veteran finishing out my last couple of years before I hang up my boots! Originally from Texas but I am currently stuck in Northern IL. Looking for my next promotion so I can get out of here! lol. Anyway, great forum!
