Seasons greetings from down under Australia

Hi USA handgunners, my wife Emily an i received a pair of p226x5's in .357sig last xmas an have had a ball shooting our 1st year ipsc, have made some progress but still have much to learn. The sigs have performed beautifully out of the box which is just as well as pistolsmiths in perth WA with sig experience are nil. Sorry to make 1st post a request for help but if any members have any advice to share on USA businesses that export gun accessorries eg instructional cd/dvds toolkits springkits ect to individuals in friendly countries like Australia it would be greatly appreciated. Our national distributor for sig products will gladly sell us more pistols but appears reluctant to assist us inobtaining the sigsauer interactive armorers classic series cd, sigsauer toolkit and springkit sets that are available on the USA Sig website to all in America but not to us down under.
We thought chosing sig we would get more after sales service not less so then i thought if you want to know something about pistols who do you ask? AMERICAN SHOOTERS!

Question. How did you manage to get handguns in Australia? I thought that was verboten down there. Are things relaxing a bit or is it the area in which you live?

Thanks for your reply denner brownells is a gret idea we sent email yesterday, aust customs have no problem with toolkits and cds/dvds on gun repair and maintenance as you thought. Also have inquires in with fetchusa, Sigsauer Germany and several other USAbusinesses.
Other ipsc clubs is a good thought also however here in Australia sig owners are rare, most use 1911 clones glocks cz75 tangfoglios ect.
I think our Aust sig distributor may be concerned i want to set up shop but as there are so few sigs here on the westcoast nothing could be further from the truth.

Hey there Southern boy, hope all is well in your neck of the woods, gun laws in this country are still tight but if you are patient and determined it can be done. To own a pistol here you must be a member of a club and compete in club shoots no less than every 8 weeks.
We also have added to the toybox a win1200 police model pump ( not my wifes favorite) and a 1894c marlin .357, a fine gun since we had a gunsmith improve the factory trigger.

Thanks for the getback. All is indeed well in Virginia for gun people. We have a long and honored tradition with firearms ownership here. Virginia is the cradle of American liberty. Even people who come here from other parts of the country seem to instinctively understand this and that we do things maybe a little differently than our brethren in our neighbor-state of Maryland (what a difference a river makes).

Good to see you can still enjoy the shooting sports in your country. Now you just have to removed your employees from their positions and install new people who will work to re-instate your freedom.
