    Newbie in Ohio

    Hey everybody, I'm Cy. I'm looking into getting my CCW or CHL, whatever the difference is. I'm kinda stuck on which gun to buy, though, so I came looking for advice. Thanks in advance.

    Also, not sure if member information is displayed on our profiles, but if it is, please, no hassling about my age. I grew up around guns and am well versed in both safety and care. I can't tell you how many gun forums I've been driven out of in the past week because of my age, being told that real life isn't call of duty and so on.

    It appears as though you are old enough to purchase and/or own a handgun, so I don't think your age will be a problem.

    Welcome to the forum! I don't think you will find any of us here giving anybody a hassle over their age, and if they do just tell them to sod off.

    I feel your pain!

    I'm 23 and yeah, my grandfather was a gunsmith and guns have always been of interest and hobby for me since I was like 10 maybe earlier.

    People here for the most part wont give you shit. Most old timers don't get the video game / film references. On another forum I got called out for talking about stuff in film too much. My 2nd hobby to guns is actually movies and storytelling. Context is lost on the internet sometimes, people jump to conclusions...
