Hi and welcome...Semper Fi....JJ
I've been around guns all my life, but in most cases, just sort of like; around them. I did a little squirrel hunting as a boy, shot a few empty bottles and soup cans, etc. As a young adult I spent some time as an active Duty Marine, and really enjoyed the toys they had. When I came back to the world I bought a little Rossi Overland shotgun and it was my house gun for a couple decades.
So, a few years ago I decided to get a concealed carry permit (people are getting crazy), and then bought an Interarms Walther PPK in .380, and it shared the house with the Rossi up till one fine day last October. That's when I was at the old Park Mammoth Resort at Mammoth Cave, and discovered that the new owners of the Resort had converted much of the surrounding grounds into ranges. Long ones, short ones, wide ones, covered ones, rough ones, and some just off in the woods. Since the old Resort is only about 15 minutes from my house, I joined the shooting club there. Since then, the house has gotten crowded with a couple Glocks, a couple Berettas, a 1911, a couple older Smith & Wesson revolvers, and one big ole' SAA "Horse Pistol" in 44-40 for the times I want to just have a smokin' good time. I've discovered I really like shooting on the range and trying new toys. I probably go through too much money buying and trading, but I'm having fun, it's just me n' the cats, and they don't care as long as supper is on time. Anyway, I just stumbled onto the forum doing some research on what to try next.![]()
