    New from RI

    Hi all! Just found this forum and find it very informative. I will be purchasing my first handgun very soon and I am looking for some suggestions on what to get. This will be a home defense weapon. I am torn between revolvers and semi autos.

    Welcome aboard. When you decide what pistols you are looking at post your questions, some one will be able to help. As for semi auto or revolver, for the new handgunner the revolver is usually easier to learn how to use.

    Yes I have heard this. I have been looking at .40 and .45 cal semi autos and also .357 mags. I have never really been a fan of revolvers but the more I look at them the more I am like them. I just haven't decided which way to go yet.
