newbie with a 1911

just wanted to introduce myself, i was doing a little research on reloading and came across this site. from what i've seen so far, it looks like there's a ton of useful information here, and a lot of helpful people. i picked up a S&W 1911 a couple of months ago, and have put almost 300 rounds through it already. it's such a fun gun to shoot, i just want to spend my weekends making various targets look differently than they did before. anyway, hi.

Welcome, and USMCJ is right, the 1911 is a contagion and if you are not careful the tend to reproduce. Good looking pistol there and have fun(safely).

Welcome. The 1911 has been around for over 100 years because it is in my opinion the best hand gun ever developed! I have other types which I also like but nothing feels as good as a 1911 in my hand! We have to work on this 300 rounds in 2 months thing! Needs to be about 300 rounds in a week!

haha, once i start reloading my own brass, then i might be able to wage a better war on the firing range... gonna go pick up some supplies at a gun show right now actually. thanks for the encouragement.
