Greetings.
Hello, I'm Duppie from New Jersey where purchasing,owning,transporting and firing a gun is not so much a right as a test of will and perseverance.
I am a newer gun owner and wish to learn as much as I can about this exciting sport.

It's only slightly better here in Westchester County, NY, where I live now, but I'm a native of the Garden State.

My friend is a plastic surgeon with practices in Binghamton,Park Ave and Soho yet he does not subscribe to any political party and accepts no favors or else he can CCW tomorrow which he does in his native Philippines. I admire his conviction if not his choice of firearms.
Let me give you a taste of freedom if I may.
This morning, I got ready to leave to do some grocery shopping and as part of my routine of loading my pockets with the requisite stuff, I strapped on one of my primary carry sidearms. It was out in the open as is my normal wont. No license or permit is required to purchase, own, or carry in this manner in my state.
So I'm off to a busy McDonald's first for a quick bite which turned into a little more time what with friendly conversation amongst some friends and acquaintances. Then to the grocery store. No screams, calls for MWAG (Man with A Gun), hysterics, running for the exits, or any thing of the sort. No stares, questions, or comments. In other words, a normal day in my part of the state. An hour later, it was off to lunch with a neighbor and I chose to conceal for that one (no particular reason). Bet you can't do this in NJ. But then again, I do live in Virginia.
There is someplace worse than California. My condolences. Stick to you guns !!

Oh we're fighting a good fight in NJ. Close knit community of gun owners,several suits going for CCW and permit waiting periods.But as is the case we also have the pandering politicians and knee jerk activist vying for attention and votes.Quote:
