welcome.... and call the number, its the best way to get accurate info about your gun.... its usually free for the basic stuff like date of manufacture and where first sold.
Hello!
My name is Marti, and I am 34 years old. It had been years since I had gone shooting, mainly because I just never seemed to have money to buy my own gun. Then I was given/inherited my grandfather's gun. It was poorly cared for, rusty, and neglected. I had my dad clean and repair it and shoot it, then I had my father in law double check it, clean it, and shoot it. Then for a little over a year I refused to shoot it because I was convinced it had been so neglected that it still might blow up in my face.
Last November, I finally took my gun out and shot it. Didn't realize how much I missed target practice, the weight of a gun in my hand, and a nice afternoon spent.
I grew up shooting. Starting shooting a .22 a long time ago... in fact, I was so young I don't even remember my first shot. When I was about 8 I was shooting my mom's snub nose .38 - when I was 19 I out shot my law enforcement fiance. Then - I lost my guns to a tweeker ex-BF who stole them. Thank God I don't date tweekers anymore.
ANYWAY... It occured to me recently that I should learn everything I can about my gun. I went to Google and found this site, then went to the Rossi website and they don't have anything online about my serial number, - gave me some toll free number to call but I seriously dislike phone calls. SO, I came back here and I've joined this site to see if anyone can help me learn anything about my gun.
