Greetings from the great state of Arizona!

First, I would like to introduce myself. My name is James, I'm 29 years old and I live in Arizona and I'm very new to the world of firearms. I purchased my first gun, a RUGER p345 about 6 months ago. I signed up here to learn from pros, and have a place to talk guns. I have much to learn, and I look forward to all the knowledge there is to absorb. Cheers

Welcome James. I recently purchased a P 345 myself. I'm really impressed with it. It has thus far been totally reliable with no malfunctions whatsoever. I like the way it feels in my hands and find the recoil to be less than I'd expected. It's also at least as accurate as I am.
What led you to purchase the P 345 over all the other possible options ?

It was kinda random. A buddy at work whoknew I had been interested in purchasing a gun was able to get it from a friend of his, and then I bought it from him. I knew nothing about the gun until he asked if I was interested. I have to say, I am totally pleased. Ya, it wasn't brand new, but for $200 I believe I got a steal.. like you said very accurate, and although I have experienced FTF I think 3 times in the first 300 rounds thru it, its been malfunction free since.. not sure why it did FTF, possibly because of the type of ammo? I want to have a gunsmith take a look at it since it is not brand new. All in all, I love it.

Greetings from the White Mountains.......give the gun a good cleaning and lubrication, including the magazines before you take it to a gunsmith and then retry it at the range ........JJ

I found a small company that specializes in RUGER. Gonna get it deep cleaned and I'm sure they inspect every part while they have it. Now to make a trip to Calif. :-/
