New Here, need help with Ambidextrous Safety 9mm

Hi, Guys and Girls,
I'm new here. Not new to weapons and CCW, because I really am old compared to most of you, however, I'm a lefty, looking for a safe, compact 9mm pistol (I like to have everything in the same caliber for reloading) for both myself and my wife, for home safety. I'm a lefty, she's a righty. What are your recommendations for an ambidextrous handgun of the 9mm variety?

The M&P compact or the XD compact would work well for both of you, but I would seriously consider the Walther PPQ. All of it's controls are ambidextrous. The magazine release is a paddle instead of a button, but with some practice, it becomes second nature. The Walther fits the hand so well, you might not want to put it down.

The Kimber Solo is a 9mm that's ambidextrous.
I don't know whether or not it's any good. I just know that it exists.
