welcome from Texas
I retired from the US Navy in 1983, my first job was working in an armory, cause I could field strip a .45 Colt 1911 and name all the parts. Something my Dad said I had to do before I could shoot his ( Master Sargent USA). Worked on ranges and was in charge of them from time to time.
Always liked the 1911 but never owned one until recently, I bought a Para Ord GI LTC .45 cal. It is my daily carry now. I carry it in a Crossbreed holster.
