Welcome from Johnson City.
I got a .38 Ruger LCR. I haven't shot it yet, but I think I will like it. I had bought a semi auto, Taurus PT709 Slim series but took it back yesterday. I had alot of trouble racking it when I bought it but the salesman and my husband thought it would loosen up for me. I shot 50 rounds through it and hated it! I have not shot alot but I knew I didn't like the gun. The semi autos seem complicated to me at this point. I already like the Ruger better just because it pretty simple. I'm sure there are many ladies out there that can handle the semi autos but I'm not ready for them just yet! This step into gun ownership has caused my husband much excitement. I have finally came to the sad realization that I need to be armed for safety. Hope to get to the range next week!
My wife came to the same conclusion several years ago......Hi and welcome....JJ
Always good to hear from a fellow Tennesseean.
I bought my first handgun over fifty years ago, a revolver. Since that time I've gone through over sixty handguns trying to gain experience and knowledge about the one-hand gun.
I've tried DA revolvers, single shot pistols, steel auto loaders, plastic auto loaders, and SA revolvers. After all this I'm back to the single action revolver.
