    Cool Just say'n Hi

    Hello everyone. Name's Robert, currently own/carry a Springfield XD-40 but gonna sell to buy a Bersa 9 CC Pro UC. Love guns and gun folks.

    Hello ... I'm another noob here myself.
    Can I ask as to why you would trade off the XD for a Bersa? I sold an XD .40 because I am just not a fan of grip safeties, and replaced it with an FNP .40S&W USG in flat dark earth ...

    Hi MikeyMike, Without going into too much detail - I chose the XD over a Glock in 2005 as my first handgun (simply because it felt better in hand and I actually preferred the grip safety and the chambered round indicator, which quite a few guns have now). I didn't really care for the chincy half holster that came with it, so I immediately bought a Fobus plastic paddle holster (very nice and secure) but I also soon discovered that unless you're an on duty officer it REALLY sticks out like a sore thumb hang'n off my side! Recently I started looking at small 380's at some gun shops and was almost ready to buy a Glock 26 (9mm sub-compact) and that's when the guy show me my new baby... I NEVER buy anything on impulse, so I went home empty handed and spent hours upon hours reading reviews and watching videos (and falling deeply in love) on my soon to be Bersa Thunder 9 UC Pro. Although I haven't put a single round through it yet, I'm hoping that it will feel very close to my XD-40 full size. Now I am going to take my time and ask for tons of opinions as to where and how to carry it using what holster. I am 6'3" tall and I weigh 265 (so I've got a bit of a belly and some starter love handles which I plan to fully develop over the coming years... JK). Any ideas are welcome.
