I lived in Fairbanks for a few years, courtesy the USAF, and always liked stopping in North Pole. Seeing that illuminated temperature sign along the highway in the dark was sometimes a bummer in mid-winter, though. You folks seem to have had more than your usual share of nippy temps this year, I've heard.

We sure did. We had almost two months of chilli weather. Between 40below & 68 below none stop. I live about a mile from the Main Gate going into Eielson in Moosecreek. The suburbs of North Pole

Welcome from northeast Tennessee. I've been to North Pole too, but fortunately it was in June. I was on the bike.:)
