    New member intro.

    Hello All;

    My name is Kevin. I live in East-Central Illinois. So, I bet you are wondering the SN. My wife and I love hiking, and you guessed it, in the GSMNP. We try to go at least twice per year. However, we are expecting our first child in August which brings me to why I joined this and other firearm forums.

    I was raised around firearms. My father owns quite a few long firearms (shotguns, rifles and the like) and a couple revolvers. So, I've grown up with a healthy respect for firearms. I've always enjoyed the recreation of firearms. Now that we are expecting I want to protect my family. We don't live in a sketchy neighborhood but one doesn't have to to become a target home of a home invader.

    I look forward to reading and posting on here and talking with the average Joe's and experts.

    Welcome from northeast Tennessee. I live about 80 miles from the park, and about 20 miles from the AT. This is a great place to learn about handguns. You'll love it.
