welcome from southern oregon
I starting wanting a [single] 9mm... shortly thereafter I think I have my next dozen or so additions planned out in detail. There is great debate in stopping power and the ideal defensive round. While serving in the military a .45 was my caliber of choice; per the Geneva Convention military cannot use hollow point thus a .45 is much more preferable to a 9mm. Use of hollow points is a game changer leading me to 9mm for many reasons. My initial choice was and still is a Sig P229 stainless elite because of how she shoots, feels and how pretty she is. While looking at her I stumbled across a used and never fired HK USP 9mm that was too good of a deal to pass up... with such a hard decision both are now in my possession and I love them equally for different reasons. I am a pretty good shot but have a lot to learn and am striving to improve each time I pull the trigger. Soon the girls will have a little brother once my Kimber solo CDP arrives as my CCW choice.
As I mentioned... This all started out with wanting to have a single little something for home protection.
