    Deep in the heart of you know where

    Hello all,
    Just received word that I am heading up north to my native state to work for my hometown police department! New officers are required to purchase their own handguns. My father's a lifelong LEO, so I'm not a stranger to the world of handguns. Still, I think I have a lot to learn. Of course, my dad's opinion will always carry the most weight with me, but I hope I can get some good advice here as well!
