    Greetings from Central Florida

    Live in a rural county in Florida. Retired from the Florida Forest Service after 37 years. My father introduced me to rifles at a very early age and I have been hunting and shooting most of my life. Always had a single action Ruger around and still carry one. For my retirement my wife purchased a Colt 1911 SXE for me in .45 ACP. Hasn't arrived as yet but I am looking forward to learning a new gun. I am looking at information on that type of pistol so that I can learn all I can before I get it. Look forward to participating.

    Was you working at any one of the springs, I take my boat many times a yr.To silver Glen spring,On the St johns river.Takes about 5 hr's from Jax's to get in to lake george,And about 30 more mins to glen springs.We have been looking for land their for about 2mos now. We won't to have a 2nd home their.My wife likes drayton Island on lake george.

    Have you ever seen the ferry that holds two cars. It's the smallest ferry I ever seen.

    I love the springs down there.

    Cat, thanks for the welcome. I am familure with the area you speak of. I didn't do much recreation work, I was in fire control. That is a nice area and property along the boundaries of the Ocala National Forest is popular.
