    Question Taurus 1911 38 super

Hello I have recently purchaced a 1911 taurus 38 super. Anyone have any information on them, how do they rate and perform. Also I dont know much about the 38 super, I have always owned 45, 40, 9mm. How doe's the super stack up against them ? thanks banditxx.

The .38 Super is a really hot round. It was introduced back in the 1930's I believe, so that FBI agents could shoot through the doors of cars while in a gunfight with the gangsters. I believe it is the 9x23mm. Muzzle velocity is high and with a good hollow point can achieve up to 500 ft/lbs of energy. I was not aware that Taurus had their 1911s in that chamber. Hope the gun works out well for you.
