    Back in the sixties, they were known as Saturday Night Specials, reputed to be used mostly by gang members and small-time thiefs. But they can be lethal. If I remember correctly, Sirhan Sirhan used one to shoot RFK, and Hinckley used one to shoot Reagan. They were about the cheapest gun money could buy, at the time.
