New guy, in uniform from the sandbox
My civi friend's call me Randy, my buddies in uniform call me King, or guns.
I am a US Navy sailor, currently deployed to the sandbox. My rate (or MOS for you army/marine guys) is Gunners Mate, as my nick attests. My command provides anti-terrorism force protection for high value assets over here, making sure gary doesn't get frisky with our stuff (usually ships carrying our stuff into or out of country). Its a smaller community, it's not big navy, or blue water navy, I don't know much about carriers and the like, it's brown water navy. I know my job and my guns, and thats about it, lol, I'm happier that way.
I've been in for nearly 2 years now, and am respectively knowledgeable about the weapons with which I deal with. those would be your M9 (Barretta 92fs), M4/M16 (colt ar-15's), m11 (sig sauer 229), m14, m240, m2hb, mk19, m203, m500 (mossberg 500 12 ga shotgun) and m870 (remington 870 shotgun). there's a bit more, but thats about it.
out side of those weapons I'm yet a novice, though one who might be looking into a career as a gun smith. I've gone through an armorer's school but really that only made me more of a parts replacer and bur de-burrer. I think I'd love to get into smithing.
as of now I own no weapons, due to having sold my sks and s&w shotgun back when I was a civilian. After this deployment I intend to obtain a CWCL, a high quality handgun, a long arm, and then look into reloading.
as a perfunctory introduction I believe this suffices, show hello HanGunForum.net Admin's, Mod's, and members, and a to any other past, present and maybe future member's of the uniform services.

I skimmed it earlier, but it seems I missed something. We can't make zombie threads?!? thats a little out there, lol, but then again I guess the maker of the rule must understand that swords, not handguns, are the truely effective weapon against the ever present threat of zombies,
glad to be here, I've learned quite alot from just perusing around today, and hopefully spread a little knowledge as well.
