.40's a good round. It's what a mojority of LEO's carry. There's some readily available good defense rounds out there. Just make sure you practice firearm safety rules. Nobody likes the guy who shot himself in the leg with his first pistol.

Thanks for all the welcomes! I've pretty well settled on the Glock 23. I have a Kimber Pro Carry for now and a PX4 that I can't find much in the way of accessories for (holster,etc, its too fat) and a Ruger .357 wheel gun that is a joy to shoot. The Kimber is my favorite right now, but I want a shorter butt for small of the back carry.![]()
Hi, I think if I was to get another .40 ( Had a nice CZ-40B ) I would look at the Kahr CW-40 for CCW. ....WVleo
