I was raised in a hunting family so I was always familiar with shotguns and rifles. I had always been interested in handguns but in 30 years I never owned any. Now, at 31, I finally started to get "the bug". After lots of research and shooting and trying out guns, I decided on a Ruger SR9. It felt very comfortable in my hand, I shot it well and it was within my price range. I love the gun and I can't possibly shoot it enough. I've only had it for a couple months and I'm already looking at getting my second handgun. I never get into anything in a small way. I've been watching shooting videos, reading books and learning everything I can. My girlfriend and I will be taking our CCW course in the next week and we're looking forward to it.
I'm really looking forward to learning all that I can about safe gun handling, shooting, accuracy and home/self defense, besides just learning about the guns themselves. I also look forward to learning from all of you.
Saint Louis county here.
Not familiar with your location.
Lived here all my life, you think I'd know the place better.
There is a top gun out Hiway 55. If you ever want to go shooting. Would be nice to meet some of the forum members.
