    A newcomer introduces hinself

    Hello everybody,

    this is Hawkeye from Germany.
    I'm 52 years old, lawyer by profession, hunter since 1974 and handgunner by heart. I'm interested in history
    (as far as American history is concerned, above all the military history of the Civil War and the Confederate Army). I'm also an avid collector of hunting knives and Bowies.
    I love and use old fashioned guns, over /under, side by side, Drillings, single shot breech actions and the like.
    A few years ago ,I had an own hunting area and owned two German short haired pointers, beiing now 52, I'm very fond of labrador dogs.
    I don't know exactly the saying, but I truly believe in "big bullets let out a lot of blood and let in a lot of air" -
    so I the smalles handgun calibre I use ist .357 Magnum, my favorite carry gun is a .44 Special sixgun.

    Welcome from Big Sky Country. Have two GSP's myself. Can't bring myself to own the Lab's even though they are a good breed and there are a lot of them around.
