Good Morning to all and hope this finds everyone happy and in good health.
I am brand new to the world of handguns. Have been shooting shotguns for about 8 years (some competition) and recently aquired a Springfield XD-9. Guess what ... you don't shoot a handgun anything like you do a shotgun Who wudda thot?
I got my CC permit, did the research thing and decided on a Springfiled XD and then traded one of my shotguns for the new XD. Took a lesson that wwas mostly safety and learning about my new gun. Did some shooting and the instructior said to come to the range a few times then get back together to learn to shoot. Boy, have I got a lot to learn!
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and I've already got some questions to post so will get on with it.
Thanks in advance to any and all that take the time to post to forums like this, it is really a help to newbies like myself. I appreaciate your time and trouple and all the help.
Welcome to the forum! Sounds to me like you are going about things the right way...taking classes, etc. Good for you. Good luck to you, you should have lots of fun in the process. By the way, I did things just the opposite of you... I've been shooting handguns for a long time, and just recently gotten into shotguns. Just bought my first last week...a Browning Citori! And you're right, shooting handguns is WAY different to shotguns! Both equally as fun though
