Welcome from Eastern North Carolina.
Looks like a fun forum. I've been shooting since I was 7 (more years than we'll discuss) and have recently become more regular at the range in the interests or rebuilding skills and just 'cause it's fun.
Also reload, mostly metallic stuff (45ACP, 30-06, .357, etc.) but getting into shotshell reloading as well.
Mostly carry in the mountains. I'm not looking for a trophy but I'd rather eat it than it eat me...
Hope to learn a lot and share the fun.

Welcome from Iowa!
Thanks for the welcome.
Todd - I noticed that this is your stock greeting so took the opportunity last night to look over the rules. Very reasonable and straightforward! I'm all for keeping it clean and civil for all involved so I have no problem with them at all. A couple of quick questions to keep me out of hot water and hopefully reduce your & the other Mods workload:
Off-topic stuff should go to the "General discussion" under "Off Topic" yes?
If the discussion is drifting into other areas than handguns but is still civil discourse, which is the better option from your point of view as a Moderator: take it to PM's or take it totally offline by providing the other party an e-mail address or, take it to the "General Discussion"?
Thanks-in-advance for all the work keeping things running smooth. I know from my other memberships that the mods job can be rough.

Welcome aboard!
What part of CO? I have family in the Springs.
yesOff-topic stuff should go to the "General discussion" under "Off Topic" yes?depends on the discussion...if you don't mind others joining in then "off topic", if not then PM or email. Just an FYI that it is generally poor manners to drift off the original topic of a thread (called thread-jacking)If the discussion is drifting into other areas than handguns but is still civil discourse, which is the better option from your point of view as a Moderator: take it to PM's or take it totally offline by providing the other party an e-mail address or, take it to the "General Discussion"?

Welcome to the forum! I'm an hour North of Denver.![]()
Bruce - I live in Longmont, about 25 Min. north of Denver, the Springs is about 90 minutes on a good traffic day to the south. I'll watch out re: thread jacking. I've seen it happen and do try to avoid it. Sometimes it's better to leave one thread and start another because the previous conversation spawned others. Reloading/crimping discussion leading to max pressure discussion, etc.
Todd - Thanks, I agree with the method and the idea of getting everyone on the same "page" of rules as early as possible.
beffybeefo - Thanks for the welcome! As stated above, I'm in Longmont, great access to the mpountains where I like to play and not too far from my work.
Thanks again to all for the warm welcome, great way to start in the forum.
Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy it here
