    New guy from Connecticut

    Hi, I'm Andy. I'm just beginning the process towards gun ownership, I'm taking the required gun owner course required by the state of Ct. and will begin the (hopefully only) 8 week wait for my local permit.

    Until then I'm going to poke around and soak up all you guys collective knowledge to prepare myself on gun ownership and my first purchase.

    Welcome from North Central Texas - I think you'll like it here.

    I used to live in CT and I'll be interested to watch your progress in getting your permit, please keep us informed.

    By the way, in Texas it is taking 6 to 8 months to get our permits back to use even if we've had them before and there is no problem (so start early).
