    Hello from Illinois

    Been lurking for a while and now that I decided to own a firearm again I thought I would start trying to contribute where my limited knowledge would allow.

    I was on the fence with the common decision of the XDM and a M&P and decided on a M&P 9 Pro that is being delivered to a local shop from Buds today (can't pick it up til Thursday). I was looking for something for home defense and target shooting and plan on dabbling with competeing. No carry laws here so concealment was a non factor in my decision.

    Thanks alot.

    I spent last night at Cabellas buying a safe, cleaning supplies, and ammunition. I know there are better shoppong alternatives but it was conveinient. Now if I only had the handgun!!!!

    Pickup Thursday, good cleaning Thursday night, and range session Friday.
