New from Miami, FL with P2000sk
Hey guys. I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say "wazzup?!". Anyways, I've been a fan of firearms ever since I shot my first .22 long rifle. However, I haven't been an avid shooter until recently (about 10 years past). I just started visiting the range again these last couple of weeks and it's been great. The wife doesn't like me spending my hard earned dough on guns and whatnot, but because of a change in careers, I've have a little extra spending room.
I've got a decent collection of handguns and a few rifles, but I recently bought an HK P2000sk which is partly the reason for my renewed interest. I got a few Glocks and a Walther, but the only subcompact I had was a Kahr PM9 which I carry daily, but admittedly did not practice anywhere near enough. I'm a big believer in always having your gun with you at all times, legally of course. I DID have to use it one time and I believe it prevented the worst from happening. Anyways, I carry so much that I started thinking that maybe I should move up to something with a bigger cartridge, something in a .40 S&W preferably. I wanted something that I could carry, use for home defense, and have fun with at the range all in one pistol. It had to be reliable of course. The PM9 is just not fun to shoot which is why I never shot the thing consistently. It's just a bit too snappy and kills the web of my hand. I tried the PM40 and it's even worse. If you don't have a Kung-Fu grip on that thing, it's out of your hands. I don't mind a bigger gun, because my waist is so use to having a pistol tucked into it, I hardly feel the PM9. So I chose the HK P2000sk after weeks of looking at different guns. So that's my EDC now and it's fine WITH the right holster!
