first timer

went to the range today for the first time.. wow was it fun.. i think im hooked.. i shot a smith and wessen (9mm).. dont remember the model number and a springfield 9mm gun.. also forgot the model number.. got a couple questions..

after i was done with the range, my left ear felt like there was water in it... still does feel like it.. you know, that pressure feeling when you get on airplanes.. sound is slightly muffled... it doesnt hurt or anything.. i just wish it would pop so i can hear normally.. is this normal or ok? i am very worried.. just hoping it will go away..

also, does anyone have any recommendations on shooting goggles for people with glasses?

Welcome from North Carolina. For eye protection I have a pair of prescricption saftey glasses. There also was a thread a while back about glasses that recommended some good choices.

as for your question, I hope that you were wearing hearing protection..If the masked hearing continues, check with an ear doctor.

I'm waiting to hear about your hearing protection. I use the disposable earplugs, wife uses both plugs and muffs. Hearing damage often shows up years after the "injury", so don't delay getting checked. As for glasses I found a pair at Lowes that works as well as possible over my scrip glasses. They have a couple different pairs, the ones I'm using are completely clear plastic. The front lens area is only a little convex, unlike most other glasses allowing a decent fit over glasses. yes i wore muffs.. but now im thinking i wore them wrong or something.. its been over 12 hours since i shot and the sound is still a little muffled.. its better than it was yesterday but not 100% yet. thanks for the suggestion on the eyes, i will check out some Lowes

i actually hear ringing now... since i woke up this morning... ringing wasnt apparent yesterday
