Welcome from North Carolina.
Hi, everyone and glad I found you, been needing a place to talk guns, as I'm fairly new to buying and collecting guns. I have a CCW, and love to shoot. I'm not a competitive shooter, just enjoy shooting. Love to kill those pieces of paper. How satisfying, lol Shoot this was supposed to go on the "introduce yourself page". I've yet to figure these forums out, so be patient.

Welcome from southeast Texas.
SE Texas, almost Oklahoma. The eastern portion of Oklahoma and Texas is another country altogether. I think it is where God goes to rest, the rolling hills, the green, the lakes all make for a paradise on Earth. I was born in Tulsa and raised on a 120 acre farm NE of Tulsa called White Oak. Grand Lake is nearby and was a favorite place to spend summers tenting, fishing, boating, skiing and swimming. There just isn't another place like the eastern sides of Oklahoma and Texas. Not that I haven't found some beautiful places in this country, but home is home after all. Thanks for saying HI and may the winds of Oklahoma and Texas always be at your back.
Welcome from OKC, Oklahoma !
Welcome aboard from Pinellas County. (Just south of Clearwater)
We are misplaced Oklahoman's. We lived in Edmond for 12 to 13 years. We really miss OKC. Went back to visit in-laws a month ago and intensified the desire to move back some day. Kids are grown and about to leave the homestead. Oldest going in to Coast Guard, youngest headed to college. Where in the OKC area are you from.
HI, thanks for your note. Are you a stone's throw from the Gulf? I've been on the beaches on that side, but up in Pensacola, long time ago when in the Air Force at Buloxi and the white sand beaches were beautiful. Got the sunburn of my life out there. Are the beaches in Clearwater the same? I've heard they are.
Anyway, thanks for the welcome.
Well, again, thanks for the welcome mat. I have a CCW here in Florida, had one in Oklahoma too but back then was running my wife's office and carried a Glock 27 for a while on a belt holster but wearing a cover all the time gets hot so it went into a brief case where it stayed until we moved Vermont in November 2002. The first month in Vermont was -17 degrees ambient air temp. A bit chilly. Then after only a year and a half moved here to Satellite Beach. We are a stones throw from the Atlantic and have a nice beach access across A1A. Between A1A and the beaches are apartment buildings of 5 stories or less thatl block the view of the ocean. We can hear the surf most days and the salt air is supposed to be healthy but I've not drawn a clear breath since moving here. Trip to Oklahoma made me realize how bad it is. But I love it here.
I had a Kahr MK40 elite 03 for my carry. Good weapon with some quirks. But I just sold for a Para Ordnance PDA 9mm. I wanted to get back to the 9mm because I can control placement much better than with the 40. I figure placement is much better than spraying larger slugs in a hit and miss fashion. And, yes, if I practiced more I could fix that problem, however, with ammo as it is 9mm is easier to get and cheaper. I've heard some good things about the Para Ord PDA 9. Anyone have any comments on it I'd appreciate hearing your experiences with it. One thing has anyone put rubber grips with forward finger slots on their Para? If so, what grips and what model numbers?
Well, thanks again for making me feel very welcome. I've not had that experience on other forums. You guys and gals are a good bunch of people. I feel like I'm home.
