    Newbie in NC

Hey all. I ran across this website while google search about handguns. So, far I've found it very knowledgeable and informative. (once ya get thru all the "I have a __insert the name of your gun__, they are great guns you should get one.)

With that being said, heres alittle about me: I have been around long guns since I was around ten years old. Started out hunting with dad using shotguns, then graduated to rifles. I got my 1st handgun about 10yrs ago. It was a Ruger P90 .45 ACP. Keep it a few years and then sold it. After a few years of not having a handgun, I got the urge again. This time I settled on a Glock G26. I enjoyed having the gun but very rarely took it out of the house or even out of the safe for that matter. I sold that one after a few years. Shortly after selling the G26, I realized it was a mistake.

I took almost 2 yrs but my father-in-law and I decided to go get our conceal carry. Less than two weeks after taking the class as submitting it to the sheriffs department, I had it in hand. I debated myself to death about which gun would serve mainly as a cc weapon and as home protection. I went back to the G26 agian, as I was already familiar with it. I got an Uncle Mikes IWB hold for conceal carry and a Blackhawk! for side holster. I not completely satisfied wth the uncle mikes, I just got something at the time of gun purchase to start out with. I starting research for something a diffrent. As far as the Blackhawk! I will probalbly never need another side holster. Its very nice and comfortable. If I could only find a IWB holster that comfy.

During my reasearch for a handgun, I found out that there are several guns that I want to add to my small collection of firearms. The bad part is that my "wants" is bigger that my budget. Does anyone else have that problem or is it just me? LOL

My wish list is as follows:

S&W model 66 357/38 stainless with wood grip w/ six inch brll (man thats a perrdy gun)

    S&W 642 38spl. black(specific for cc),

    Walther p22 for plinking,

22 revolver (havent settle on make and model yet)

I"ll stop there for now. Anyways, thanks for having me and sorry for the long post!!!
